To celebrate the International Year of Light, a year-long initiative in 2015 endorsed by the United Nations, an exhibit of spectacular images was curated for the "Light: Beyond the Bulb" project. One of the "Light: Beyond the Bulb" exhibits made its first stop in Rhode Island this week as it launched November 9, 2015 at the Rhode Island State House in the Bell Area.

"Through the incredible work of organizers around the world, LBTB is appearing in over 650 locations across the globe this year," said Kimberly Arcand of the Chandra X-ray Center who is one of the leads of LBTB. "We are beyond happy that the exhibit is being included in Rhode Island to help get people talking about the wonders of light in all of its forms."
